The Jana Langhans Memorial Scholarship Awardees: Annalyse Alms and Jennifer Garcia Fernandez

Each spring, RiseUp Red Wing awards the Jana Langhans Memorial Scholarship to two Red Wing students. This year, we were honored to award this scholarship to two outstanding youth in our community.

Annalyse Alms is a graduate of Red Wing High School and a RiseUp Red Wing participant. She is passionate about youth advocacy and the culinary arts. She’s planning to attend college in the fall and take classes in both areas. She credits her grandmother and her RiseUp mentor, Jenna, with offering guidance and helping her find her passion for working with youth. 

Jennifer Garcia Fernandez is also a graduate of Red Wing High School and a RiseUp Red Wing participant. She is planning to attend Rochester Community and Technical College to pursue a degree in elementary education and fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. Jenny is inspired by her parents, who taught her from a young age the importance of perseverance and dedication.
